Our Parish Evangelization Team seeks to help every person encounter Jesus, grow in relationship with Him, and take their next step in faith. Through parish wide opportunities for prayer, formation and fellowship, we strive to nurture a faith community where disciples are equipped and encouraged to share the joy of the Gospel with others. We strive to help our parish live out this call—to know Christ, follow Him, and invite others to encounter His love.
My brothers and sisters, what are we to do? As a diocese, and indeed as a Church around the world, we are at a turning point. We live in such a time that God in His Providence seems to have offered us a choice: we can either continue to watch the decline of the Church or we can take up our mission anew with faith, courage and passion. For me, the choice is clear. We must rouse ourselves out of complacency. We must courageously move past simply maintaining our programs and structures and allow the Lord to lead us into a deep renewal of our identity and purpose.
What is this journey in between the event we call "birth" and the one we call "death"? Is the journey taking you somewhere, or are you leading yourself to some kind of destination - a destination that could extend beyond your last breath? What do you want from your life during the in between? The questions are there. And, the answers are too.
METANOIA - and believe in the Gospel. In the Gospel of Mark, the first words of Jesus are an invitation to metanoia, to repent, to change, to be converted. We invite all parishioners to join a small group or church group as we grow deeper in our relationship and walk with Christ this year.
The Parish Evangelization Team is still praying and discerning what will be the third year study.
I feel like I made so many new, lovely friendships that will last many years, and such thoughtful, inspiring conversation. It was truly a lovely experience!

Heavenly Father,
Pour forth your Holy Spirit to inspire me with these words from Holy Scripture. Stir in my soul the desire to renew my faith and deepen my relationship with your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ so that I might truly believe in and live the Good News. Open my heart to hear the Gospel and grant me the confidence to proclaim the Good News to others. Pour out your Spirit, so that I might be strengthened to go forth and witness to the Gospel in my everyday life through my words and actions. In moments of hesitation, remind me: If not me, then who will proclaim the Gospel? If not now, then when will the Gospel be proclaimed? If not the truth of the Gospel, then what shall I proclaim? God, our Father, I pray that through the Holy Spirit I might hear the call of the New Evangelization to deepen my faith, grow in confidence to proclaim the Gospel and boldly witness to the saving grace of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Saint Patrick Parish's mission is to joyfully proclaim, share, and celebrate the love and mercy of Jesus Christ through Word, Sacraments, prayer, and ministry.
