What would it be like to grow up being watched when you went to church? Or being questioned by the government about why? Please join Faith in Action in the St. Cecilia Room (lower level) for a coffee talk with fellow parishioner, Maria Schweikert, on Sunday, October 26 following 8:30 AM Mass. Maria grew up under Communist rule following WW II in what is now part of Ukraine. She has many interesting insights to share about those experiences and later moving to the United States, where she taught Russian at both the University of Minnesota and other Minnesota colleges for 20 years. We know you will find this presentation interesting and meaningful!
