Welcome
to Fourth grade. Let me tell you a little about myself.This will be my
40th year of teaching, and my 30th year at St. Patrick's. Before
moving to Hudson I taught in Platteville and Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and
at Transfiguration on the East side of St. Paul. When I write 40 years
I wonder where the years have gone. I love having the children or
nieces and nephews of former students.I have taught fourth, fifth, and
sixth grades while here, but my love is definitely fourth grade. I
think every teacher has a favorite age to work with, and I enjoy the
enthusiasm and interest of nine and ten year olds. I am also very fond
of our curriculum, especially the study of Wisconsin in Social Studies.
I
attended college at Platteville State University in Southwestern
Wisconsin, graduating with a B.S in elementary education. I enjoy
taking continuing education classes during the summer, especially those
offered at Hamline University in the area of Language Arts.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 40th year of marriage this Fall, and we have three grown sons.
