My name is Judie Wiebold.  This is my 7th year of teaching at St. Pat's middle school.  I teach language arts and literature to 8th graders.  I also teach a math class when needed and an occasional 6th grade language arts.  Reading and writing have always been important and interesting to me, and I try to make them important and interesting to students.

My husband, Ray Wiebold, is a pastor at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in New Richmond.  I taught in the Lutheran School system for 30 years prior to moving to Wisconsin.  In those years I had  taught every grade, but for the past many years I have been at the 7th-8th grade level.    Young people of that age are so interesting to me, and I enjoy being with them very much.  I have gone to ELC and the Washington trip. 

In addition to teaching,  I also function as the school counselor.  This includes working with individual students and working with whole classrooms.   My basic philosphy is that self-esteem comes from achievement, not the other way around.  Therefore I work very hard to make sure that each student is successful.
