Minutes of March Meeting
St. Patrick Church Pastoral Council
March 2006 Minutes (approved)
Present: Fr. John, Sr. Bernadette, Ed Hanson , Rick Reams, Howard Cameron, Jeanne Darnold , Mary Seyer, Therese Bogenhagen, Sam Cari ,
Prayer Father John lead the council in prayer.
Call to Order: Father John called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm.
Agenda The agenda was approved as presented
Minutes: The minutes from the February 28, meeting were approved as corrected.
Parish Concerns: Dennis Cheesebrow, and Tom Ellis presented Consultative Structures; Findings and Recommendations for our parish. The presentation included a Strategic Roadmap for our parish which focused on goals for 2007 and suggestions on how to accomplish these goals. This discussion will continue on April 22 at the 8:30am meeting.
Stewardship: Howard Cameron and Claire Zajac reported on the progress of the Stewardship Committee their goal to get out the message to the parish that Stewardship is Discipleship it is about Time Talent and Treasure. Howard and Claire plan to visit standing committees to assess how we as a parish can work together to promote stewardship. Howard will keep the council informed as to what we can do to support and engage in the process.
Elections: Ed Hanson reported that Parish Council Elections will be held at every mass on the weekend of April 22 and 23rd.
Peace Coffee: The parish council agreed that every member would approach their committee to request that Peace Coffee be purchased for all parish functions. The council agreed that although the coffee may cost more that this was one small way the parish could support social justice in our world.
Fall Fest: Howard Cameron agreed to once again direct the volunteers who so generously work toward the success of this parish event. It was agreed that since 2006 is the 150th anniversary of our parish that the Fall Fest would include a celebration of this milestone in our parish history.
Father Peter: It was announced that a group of generous parishioners are planning a celebration of Father Peter’s 50th anniversary of his ordination for June 18th . Committee Reports: Due to the many presentations at the meeting committee reports will be addressed at the April meeting.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:30pm.
