 Stewardship

Claire provided an update on the Time & Talent Survey:

 ·       Received over 400 pledge cards and a slightly lower number of Time & Talent cards.

·       Each committee will be contacting interested members. Jane has followed up for the Education Committee and has received a very positive response.

·       All those who sent in a finance card received a personally signed thank-you from Father Parr.

                             ·       Feedback is being collected on how to improve the process.  They are still hoping to reach 500                                                            responses.

Review Vision 2007 Goals – Tabled until March.  Committee members are asked to review goals, with specific emphasis on the broad goals.

Parent Conference w/Parish Committees - Mary Piasecki spoke on the March 31 Parent Workshop.  The purpose is to establish a spirit of welcoming & hospitality and strengthen the web of communication. The keynote speaker will be Corwin Kronenberg (Parenting with Love & Limits) with 2 to 3 breakout sessions on various topics (i.e. praying with kids, web savvy, nutrition, good sports etiquette). The overall theme of the workshop is how to raise kids in a counter cultural manner within the ministry of Christ.  Preliminary meeting next week- Carol & Lisa volunteered to help.

Students & Staff

Iowa Testing Results – Mary Piasecki gave an overview of the results. The results will be used by the teachers to evaluate progress, plan curriculum and identify students with high or low results. Results indicate overall students are above average nationally. Editing skills and math computation were one of the lowest in result scoring. Teachers will look at how these areas can be enhanced in classroom.

Catholic School Week update – Mary Seyer has organized students & speakers for Mass.

Uniforms for Middle School – Carol shared ideas about survey questions for uniform changes (no jeans) and listened to committee ideas. She will email ideas out to committee members. Survey questions will eventually be sent out to parents.

All Day Kindergarten – February meeting

 Wellness Policy – February meeting

Renweb update – Lunch payment will eventually be accepted online.  Renweb is generally going well and has been utilized more in middle school. Parents are encouraged to check once a week.

 Meeting adjourned at 8 p.m.
