I. Introductions and Reflection Those Present: Kathy, Jane, Larry, Kenneth, Nancy, Terry, Darlene and Sally Readings for the upcoming Sunday were read and reflections shared. II. Formation Committee A. Standing dates and agenda The formation has established standing committee meeting dates as well as an agenda for the next months. They will not be focusing on Advent due to its quick approach, but will be planning parish activities for Lent and the Easter Triduum. They have asked this committee to develop a mission statement. Discussion took place around this topic and the committee will like to see spiritual study and adult incorporated into the statement. We were reminded to keep in mind that a mission statement is what we do and the filter with which our programming is planned. Terry will send Sally the former Evangelization Committee statement. Sally asked that all committee members be thinking about the mission statement and to e-mail her any ideas. This will be an important agenda item at next month’s meeting. B. Committee member appointment - Kenneth? Kenneth will be our committee liaison to the Formation Committee. Thank you, Kenneth!III. Continuous Program Feedback and Evaluation A. Bible Studies 1. Little RockThere are seven groups and over 50 people participating. Facilitators were found for the two studies that Sr. Bernadette facilitated. Terry mentioned that there are a lot of repeat individuals each year, but she would like to see more new individuals join. The suggestion was made to have one individual that would “oversee” Little Rock and work on promotions/marketing, and the other logistics associated with this study. We will be working on coming up with evaluation questions for all Bible studies. Some preliminary ideas are: How did your knowledge of scripture grow? How often would you like to meet (more/less)? Have you been able to apply what you’ve learned to your personal life? Please send Sally any thoughts or ideas for additional questions. 2. Jeff Cavins There are about 15 participants in each session of the Revelation study. Exodus will begin in January. The current session is going well and there are some new participants as well. B. Catechism Class This appears to be up and running and there doesn’t seem to be any more confusion over dates/times.IV. New Program/Activity Formation A. Adult Ministry Formation Focus Groups 1.
