Spelling:

All spelling lists cover a basic phonetic rule. We do work in our Spelling Books to review the phonetic rule and practice the words. Tests are usually given on Fridays, but always check the date of the test that is printed on your spelling list in case there is a change for the week.

Writing:

We write in our journals a few times per week.
We also write: A descriptive paragraph
                        A personal narrative
                        A friendly letter
                        A How-to essay
                        A Young Author’s Story
                        Some poetry
